Kiaʻāina for
Council District 3

Ahuimanu, HeʻEia, Haʻiku, Kāneʻohe, Maunawili, Kailua, Olomana, Enchanted Lake, & Waimānalo

A Proven Commitment to Serve

Aloha kākou,

I have been privileged to serve as your Councilmember for District III (ʻĀhuimanu, Heʻeia, Haʻikū, Kāneʻohe, Maunawili, Kailua, Olomana, Enchanted Lake and Waimānalo) at the Honolulu City Council over the past three and a half years. I also serve as the Vice-Chair of the City Council and Chair of the Planning and the Economy Committee.

I am seeking reelection so that I can continue to effectively advocate to improve the quality of life for our Windward community and for all residents of Oʻahu.

For the past 30 years, I was fortunate to have worked at the county, state, and federal levels of government. This breath of governmental experience has served me well at the City Council.

My accomplishments include increased funding and authority to address homelessness and affordable housing, updating the City’s real property tax credits and exemptions, establishing the first-ever Oʻahu Historic Preservation Commission, making substantial progress in updating the City’s Land Use Ordinance, prohibiting commercial activities at Windward beach parks, enforcing laws against illegal short-term rentals and monster homes, providing for agricultural grants to support our farmers and promote food security and economic diversification, and encouraging the City Administration to build capacity and successfully compete for federal discretionary funding opportunities.

I respectfully ask for your continued support to serve our Windward community!
